Ceausescu gifts under the hammer

Gifts and memorabilia belonging to the former Romanian leader, Nicolae Ceausescu, are to be auctioned in Bucharest today.
The gifts include a bronze yak statue from the Chinese leader, Mao Tse-tung, gold-plated doves from Iran, and a pen he received in Japan which is expected to fetch at least two-and-a-half-thousand dollars.
Ceausescu and his wife were executed following the anti-communist revolution in Romania in 1989.

Hadiah dan kenang-kenangan milik mantan pemimpin Rumania Nicolae Ceausescu akan dilelang di Bucharest hari ini.
Hadiah-hadiah tersebut mencakup patung yak (sejenis lembu) perunggu dari pemimpin Cina Mao Tse-tung, merpati berlapis emas dari Iran, dan pena dari Jepang yang diperkirakan akan laku terjual setidaknya US$2.500.
Ceausescu dan istrinya dieksekusi setelah pecah revolusi antikomunis di Rumania pada 1989.
